"this is my first "real" art show. i was in a group show once almost ten years ago. i usually make music. after recording and touring with opal and mazzy star i played around silver lake for several years with my own band anemone and also played in maw and paw for a brief period. the art was always a secret something that went on behind the scenes. i've done photography for a long time and actually began painting while mazzy star was in the studio recording the first album 'she hangs brightly'. and i started making the "small" paintings while touring!"
