Greetings From Port Satsop |
Nov 9th through Dec 5th, 2007 |
By most accounts, Drew Christie began drawings and making animations at the age of 3. Most of his recent work has been created on the pages of inside covers of books. This seems to be due to the inherent history and aged quality and crafstmanship built in to the book itself. Therefore, half the work is already done. Inspired by outsider artists such as Gregory Blackstock and Michael Hurley, Drew has created Port Satsop, a fictional town for his drawings to exist within. An economically depressed, Northwest port town which seems only to be populated by run down buildings and rickety houses. This is the first show to be comprised of only Port Satsop artwork.
